Convert text to title case
Headline-style capitalisation with the small words kept lowercase and acronyms such as NASA and names such as iPhone left intact.
Title case capitalises the main words of a title and leaves short function words such as a, an, the, of, and, or, in lowercase, except at the start and end and after a colon. This converter follows that rule and, unlike most, does not flatten acronyms or brand names: NASA stays NASA and iPhone stays iPhone. If the whole text is in capitals, every word is treated as an ordinary word, since acronyms cannot be told apart from shouting.
How to convert text to title case
- Paste the headline or list. One title per line works too.
- Title case is preselected. Switch to capitalised words if you want every word capitalised.
- Copy. Done.

Questions people ask
Which words stay lowercase?
Articles, short conjunctions and short prepositions: a, an, the, and, but, or, nor, for, so, yet, as, at, by, in, of, off, on, per, to, up, via. The first and last words, and the first word after a colon, are always capitalised.
What if my text is ALL CAPS?
THE LORD OF THE RINGS becomes The Lord of the Rings. When a text or a line is mostly capitals, acronym protection is switched off for it, because there is no way to tell NASA from SHOUTING.
