Make fancy text for bios and posts
Type once and copy the same words as bold, italic, script, small caps, circled, monospace and more. They are real Unicode characters, so they work where formatting is not allowed.
How to make fancy text for bios and posts
- Type the text. A name, a headline, a status.
- Pick a style. Every style renders live below. Some apps show all of them; a few skip the rarer ones.
- Copy and paste. Use the copy button next to the style you like.

Questions people ask
How does this work without formatting?
Unicode contains whole alphabets for mathematics: bold, italic, script, fraktur, double-struck and monospace letters. They look like styled text but are separate characters, so any app that shows Unicode shows them.
Why does some fancy text break screen readers?
A screen reader reads the mathematical letter names one by one, which is exhausting for blind users. Use fancy text for a word or two, not whole posts, and never for important information.
Can I use it in a username?
Often yes for display names; usernames and handles usually only accept plain letters. Try it and the app will tell you.
