Remove line breaks from text
Text copied from a PDF or an email arrives with a line break after every line. This joins them back into flowing paragraphs while keeping the paragraphs you actually meant.
Single line breaks are joined with a space and words split with a hyphen across lines are rejoined. A blank line is always a paragraph break. Within a block, a line that ends a sentence and stops well short of the block's longest line is treated as the real end of a paragraph, and a short heading-like line followed by a capital keeps its own line, because wrapped lines in a PDF or email run close to the full width while real paragraph ends usually do not. Bullets and numbered items are kept as separate lines.
How to remove line breaks from text
- Paste the text. From a PDF, email, terminal or chat.
- Join is preselected. Tick trim or collapse spaces as well if the text needs it.
- Copy the paragraphs. "Show what changed" lets you check every join.

Questions people ask
Will it merge my paragraphs?
Not if they are separated by a blank line, or if the last line of a paragraph is clearly short and ends a sentence. Lists with bullets or numbers are kept as separate lines. Paragraphs whose last line happens to be almost full width are joined; a blank line between them fixes that.
Can I remove every line break instead?
Yes. Choose "join everything into one line" and every break becomes a space.
