Convert text to sentence case

Turn SHOUTING or badly capitalised text into normal sentences, keeping the pronoun I and, in mixed text, acronyms as they are.

Runs on your device No account No limits Free, no ads

Sentence case capitalises the first letter after each full stop, question mark or exclamation mark, and at the start of each line, and lowercases the rest. In normal mixed text, acronyms that are entirely uppercase are kept and the standalone I is always capitalised. When the text is all capitals, every word is lowercased first, so THIS IS SHOUTING becomes This is shouting.

How to convert text to sentence case

  1. Paste the text. All caps, all lowercase or a mixture.
  2. Sentence case is preselected. Change to another style if needed.
  3. Copy. Done.

Questions people ask

Will proper names be lowercased?

Names in the middle of sentences are lowercased unless they are acronyms or contain capitals inside, because the converter has no way to know a name from a word. Fix those by hand afterwards.

Why did NASA turn into Nasa?

Because the whole text was in capitals, so acronym protection was off for it. Paste the text in mixed case, or fix the few acronyms by hand.
