We never see your text
This policy is short because there is little to say: the site has no server-side processing and no accounts.
Your text and images
Every tool on myowntext.com runs inside your browser. Text you paste and images you drop are processed in memory on your device and never uploaded, transmitted, stored or logged.
What the site collects
Nothing personal. There are no accounts, no tracking cookies and no advertising or analytics scripts. The web host may keep standard, anonymous server logs, such as the time of a request and the page requested, as every host does.
Third-party downloads
The image to text tool downloads the Tesseract recognition engine from jsDelivr and language packs from the tessdata project the first time you use it. Those services see a normal file download from your browser, never your images. Every other tool loads only from myowntext.com.
Local storage
The site remembers your light or dark theme choice in your browser, and the browser caches the recognition engine so it is not downloaded twice. Both stay on your device.
